Did You Know that Nasal Flu Vax Recipients Can Pass the Flu to Everyone Around Them for Up to 21 Days?

flumist

Did you know that when a person receives the “FluMist” flu vaccine that anyone around them becomes exposed to the flu as the recipient “sheds” the viruses contained within the vaccine?  With all of the propaganda about how you MUST be vaccinated in order to protect those around you, you’d think that they would warn people who receive this vaccine that they’ve just become the most contagious person in the room, particularly if the person has been browbeaten into receiving the vaccine to “protect” a loved one with a lowered immune system.

This video found via Activist Post, tells of one family’s experience with a FluMist vaccine that was given to their child after the doctor guilted them into it:

The CDC says that it is possible, but rare, for those in contact with someone who has received the Flu Mist vaccine to pass the virus on to others.

Data indicate that both children and adults vaccinated with nasal spray can shed vaccine viruses after vaccination, although in lower amounts than occur typically with shedding of wild-type influenza viruses. Rarely, shed vaccine viruses can be transmitted from vaccine recipients to unvaccinated persons. (source)

Even though it’s clearly not a big deal, based on their vague admission, the CDC still warns that those who have loved ones with serious immune issues should not be vaccinated with Flu Mist, but if the loved ones only have mild immune issues, it’s all good.

People who are in contact with others with severely weakened immune systems when they are being cared for in a protective environment (for example, people with hematopoietic stem cell transplants), should not get the nasal spray vaccine. People who have contact with people with weakened (but not severely weakened) immune systems due to underlying illness (e.g. diabetes, asthma, and heart disease, can get the nasal spray vaccine. (source)

MedImmune, the makers of FluMist are well aware of the risk of passing on the flu.  On the package insert, the manufacturer warns:

“FluMist® recipients should avoid close contact with immunocompromised individuals for at least 21 days.”

You can visit MedImmune’s FluMist propaganda site HERE for more (dis)information.

The main “benefits” to  receiving a squirt of illness up your nose are that you can avoid the dreaded needle and that those with egg allergies can receive it.  A recipient will avoid the sore arm, but may get to enjoy these delightful side effects from the nasal vaccine.

In children, side effects can include runny nose, headache, wheezing, vomiting, muscle aches, and fever. In adults, side effects can include runny nose, headache, sore throat, and cough. Fever is not a common side effect in adults receiving the nasal spray flu vaccine. (source)

Interestingly, those listed side effects are the very symptoms one is trying to avoid by getting the vaccine in the first place. Each and every one is a flu symptom. Huh.  So the point of that vaccines was……..avoiding those?

Here’s How the Vaccine Makes You Contagious

But there’s still that pesky issue of becoming Influenza Alice and spreading your newly acquired bugs to all who come in contact with you.

Here is how the nasal vaccine makes the recipient contagious:

Flu Mist is made with an attenuated (weakened) live virus (or viruses).  These viruses can be spread through coughing, sneezing, talking, or touch.

So, for example, if a person receives the Flu Mist at the Wal-Mart pharmacy, then sneezes into his hand in response to something being shot up his nostrils (a pretty darned normal response), then touches something on the store shelf (also not an outrageous supposition, considering people touch things all the time at stores), then what happens to the next person who touches that item?

You guessed it – they’ve just been exposed to live flu viruses. Yes, those viruses are “weak” but if that same person then rubs her eyes or touches her face or pulls a hair out of her baby’s mouth, then guess what? Access granted.

How Can You Avoid Getting the Flu If You Don’t Get the Flu Shot?

You will hear in about 10,971 variations that “The best way to prevent catching the flu is to receive your annual flu shot.”

This is actually untrue. The absolute, number one way to avoid catching the flu is through the exercise of good personal hygiene.

  1. Wash your hands frequently when you are out.
  2. Use a paper towel to open bathroom doors and turn on taps.
  3. Although I’m normally not a big fan of hand sanitizer, use it during the height of flu season if you have to touch things that everyone else has been touching, like the handle of the shopping cart, door knobs, and debit machines.
  4. Use antibacterial wipes (or at least baby wipes) to wash your hands and wipe the steering wheel when you get back into your vehicle.
  5. Avoid touching your face – this welcomes germs that are on your hands into your body.
  6. During the height of flu season, consider taking a quick shower and changing clothes when you return home, particularly if you have been in a germ-ridden place like a doctor’s office or pharmacy.
  7. Make sure the kids change clothes and  thoroughly wash their hands when they return home from school.
  8. I shouldn’t really have to say this, but….wash your hands after using the bathroom and before preparing or eating food.

If your local area is being hit hard by the flu, practice avoidance to keep your family healthy.

9.  Stay home as much as possible. (Obviously, if you have work and school outside the home, this become more difficult, but avoid malls, movie theaters, and sporting events for the duration of the epidemic.)

10.  Stay away from sick people if you can.

11.  Avoid eating at restaurants – you don’t know the health or hygiene habits of the kitchen staff.

If someone in your family is sick, try to minimize the spread of the illness.

12.  If you or a family member are sick, stay home from work or school to prevent passing it on to others.

13.  If a family member is sick, keep them isolated away from the rest of the family.

14.  Use antibacterial wipes to clean surfaces that the sick person touches – doorknobs, TV remotes, keyboards, toilet handles, and phones.

15. Immediate place dishes and flatware used by the sick person into hot, soapy dishwater with a drop of bleach in it.

16.  Teach children to cough into the crook of their arm instead of covering their mouth with their hands.

17.  Have the sick person wash their hands frequently with soap and water to help prevent spreading germs through physical contact. If soap and water is unavailable, have them use hand sanitizer.

Some other ways to stay healthy are to use natural strategies to maximize your immune system.

18.  Drink lots of water to keep your system hydrated and efficient.

19.  Take a high quality, organic multi-vitamin.

20.  Take at least 3000 IUs of Vitamin D3 daily - research has shown a link between a Vitamin D deficit and susceptibility to the flu.

21.  Eat lots of fruits and vegetables (preferably organic and pesticide free).

22.  Get 7-9 hours of sleep per day – a tired body has a weaker immunity against viruses.

23.  Don’t smoke – this weakens your resistance against respiratory illnesses and worsens the effect on your body if you do become ill.

24.  Avoid or limit alcoholic beverages.

25.  Avoid or limit processed foods.

The Real Question

So the question is not whether people are contagious after getting the Flu Mist vaccine – that’s pretty clearly established. The real question in my mind (put on your tinfoil hats now)  is whether the flu is being deliberately spread via vaccines or if this is just an unintended side effect. Either way, my family and I will not be participating in the grand experiment that is flu vaccination.

OY! This FluMist is just one big Trojan Horse being rolled out into the public, isn’t it? Follow the $$ trail, it’s always about making money and has nothing to do with protecting PEOPLE. Government Health Officials, Doctors, Educational Systems and Employers ‘pushing’ the drug, using scare tactics and guilt to get people to vaccinate against flu while big Pharma makes whopping profits. How is this any different than the drug dealer on the street corner telling the kids ”everybody’s doing it.” Then, way to stir up more business, right? Dose people with live viruses they can shed off and share for 21 days. One person can cover a lot of ground in 21 days. Can anybody say Pandemic?

Great list of how to protect yourself from flu Daisy. My family and I are firm believers in using pure food vitamins and supplements on a daily basis to keep our immune systems strong. During flu season we step things up a bit by adding Kyolic garlic & Organic Sambucus (Elderberry)to our routine. I’d rather ingest organic and pure ‘medicines’ that have no side effects when used properly, than knowingly poison myself and my children with toxins and viruses in order to ‘protect’ ourselves against the flu. Just makes better sense to me. How about instead of this whole lesser than two evils mentality, we start demanding NO evils?

  2. Catherine J Frompovich says:

The same can be said for the oral polio vaccine! or any live virus vaccine–they shed viruses. Parents often are affected from changing their baby’s diapers. Adults can be affected from ambient air or toilets. Proper hand washing is most critical during the flu season. I’d go as far as to say avoid shaking hands with others and close contact, e.g., kissing and sharing drinks and tasting food, with friends during social events.
The most important thing to do, as Daisy points out, is build up your immune system, and you won’t catch the flu bug.

  3. G! says:

Your real question is a real question. There is so much that has been occurring by either default or intent, that I consider caution and looking at all of the evidence to be prudent and common sense.

  4. Melissa says:

They have admitted the whooping cough vaccine ALSO works the same way. All this does is increase profits because they can say the flu is rampant when they are the ones spreading it around! Hegelian Dialectic at its finest.

Reminds me a little of the way Merck rolled out the chicken pox vaccination which basically induced a Shingles epidemic, so they rolled out the even MORE expensive shingles vaccination (because natural chicken pox is mother nature’s way of protecting us from shingles)! Now even eight-year-old kids are getting shingles all over the place, but hey, at least we have all these fancy modern vaccines!

  5. CAWS says:

    Daisy,
I haven’t looked at this year’s product package insert but from the time is was approved”FLUMIST” has warned that you will be contagious for at least 6 weeks. At that time I called or emailed my local Walmart, Target, Pharmacies, hospitals and schools to see if this vaccine was being administered onsite. I included the warnings from FDA & CDC websites [well hidden]. I suggested that this was going to start an EPIDEMIC and that I would be warning everyone on my huge mailing list not to enter their stores if this was the case. At the time the only ones being forced to take this were prisoners including juveniles. Some of the hospital admins got pretty annoyed but too bad.
Of course it only takes one kid sneezing in a group at church ,movies ,mall etc to infect many and good luck protecting your kids at school. If you MUST go out in public I would like to add to your list: take extra vitamin C, use a diffuser of essential oils [like oregano, orange, frankinsense] in the house or classroom, and instead of hand sanitizer use Three Thieves Oil. This is a blend used by the thieves that robbed the dead during the bubonic plague & never got sick. In return for clemency when they were caught they revealed anointing their bodies [hands & face is where I use it-- diluted] with these oils which repelled pathogens. Kinda like blinding the horn worms from your tomatoes with aromatic basil plants. Also I use a “zapper” and saline nasal douche with few drops colloidal silver [Neil Med not Nettipot]at the onset of any symptoms. So far so good.

  6. anon says:

I would recommend everyone start taking daily dosages of ionic (colloidal) silver if your are concerned about infectious diseases.

Buy some silver wire on ebay, get some distilled water and a jar and a 6v wall wort and make some.

  7. Liz says:

I was saying this for some time. Whenever you take your dog to get a Bordatella shot which is inserted into the nose like the flu mist, the vet tells you that all other dogs in the house needs to get the same shot or you should quarantine the animal getting the shot. Simple logic would allow one to transfer this same concept to human vaccines. There is a reason that doctors wear masks when performing surgeries and shooting a live virus up your nose means that your mucus membranes can be shed. I totally agree that this is some conspiracy to spread the flu to either make money or thin the population. It is so sad what we have come to.

    • Cate Perry says:

Influenza kills millions of people around the world every year. What could possibly be gained through such a “conspiracy”. Seriously? o_O

      • kashe says:

Really you havent given that any real thought?
Do you believe everything your government tell you?

      • Liz says:

INFLUENZZA DOES NOT KILL MILLIONS OF PEOPLE A YEAR> WHAT”S TO BE GAINED> ABOUT $1200.00 DOLLARS A SHOT FOR BIG PHARMA>>>AND YOUR TAX DOLLARS PAY FOR THEM!!!!

  8. nhokkanen says:

According to a past package insert:
At a Minnesota school used as a nasal vaccine clinical trial site, a child in the placebo group developed vaccine-strain influenza from vaccinated classmates.

  9. Akimajuktuq says:

This HAPPENED TO MY DAUGHTER!!! She was infected by this vaccine, which she did not receive, and had the worst flu and the highest fever that she has ever had (105), couldn’t eat for a week and took weeks to fully recover. It’s UNACCEPTABLE that the people who CHOSE this vaccine were not fully informed and quarantined until the shedding risk had passed (shedding info IS included in the vaccine insert). Our medical professionals/system have a lot to answer for and it’s up to us to stop being such MINDLESS SHEEP.

    • Cate Perry says:

The only way this could happen would be if she already had the flu when she got the vaccine and just hadn’t developed symptoms yet. Either that or she has an immune system disorder. The vaccine just doesn’t do this. The sheep are the people who believe pages like this despite the lack of peer-reviewed scientific evidence to back up the claims.

  10. Cate Perry says:

That’s just not true. Fluvax is a live attenuated virus. That means it has been treated so that it induces immunity, but doesn’t cause disease. There is no risk of catching the flu from the fluvax or from someone who has been vaccinated with it. The only way this could happen is if they already had the flu before they got the vaccine. Spreading misinformation helps nobody.

    • kashe says:

Cate Perry, so what are your sources for that information? Or is that just what you choose to believe?

I say treat all vaccines like they shed because even if they dont contain live /weakened virus’s, the recipient will probably catch something as a result of a comprimised immune system from the junk you just injected. So I stay well away for a few weeks at least.

If people just realised that quarantining yourself when ill is a very effective way of keeping illnesses out of the public, then there would be far lesser epidemics. But instead we HAVE to work, we HAVE to send our kids to childcare (sarcasm there)… Ridiculous!

    • Melissa Hargrove says:

      Thank you.

    • Daisy Luther says:

Cate, my information comes directly from the CDC website. If you don’t like what it says, you’d need to address your comments to them. Perhaps the CDC is also spreading misinformation?

You don’t believe this because you choose not to believe it. Cognitive dissonance at its finest, neatly wrapped up in a superior tone, does not make your argument valid.

      Best wishes ~

      Daisy

Attenuated viruses have been known to regenerate themselves back into live viruses. Viruses are a lot smarter than we think!

  11. Kerry says:

FluVax does not contain live virus. You cannot contract Influenza from any FluVax. Many get an immune response and feel unwell for a few days – which is what you want really. As FluVax isn’t a live vaccine it cannot be transmitted nor combine with wild variants such as was the concern with the original Polio vaccine.
As there are no replicating components within the vaccine it is impossible to ‘catch flu’ or transmit from the vaccine

  13. Brent Bielema says:

I would avoid those “antibacterial” products like the plague unless they only use natural substances like tea tree oil or grapefruit seed extract. Hy-Vee HealthMarket even sells one that uses oil of oregano, so that’s encouraging! Why anyone would have the government inject their children (especially up the nose!) with live experimental viruses — is beyond comprehension. Use what’s worked for centuries to stay healthy — natural medicine — and leave the injections in their vile vials!!

    • anon says:

Brent, you are so right on. It is so frustrating that people defer their common sense and moral obligation to their kids because some “authority figure” says not to worry. If people would ask: Who is responsible if my kid is paralyzed or becomes autistic after the shot? Most authorities would avoid answering. People have to stop sacrificing their kids on the altar of Big Medicine. Even kids who show no obvious symptoms after the shot are more than likely injured. It could take years for symptoms to become obvious. Meanwhile, the shots continue, increasing the chances that this will be the shot that severely injures the kid. Bottom line is all shots will diminish the life of the recipients.

  14. Linda says:

Why would your doctor make you feel guilty? Do you let people order you around? You know doctors are ignorant. Ignorant people cannot make me feel guilty. I’d tell the bastard where to get off. And I’d do it in no time flat.

  15. Lisa says:

Anything taken out of context can be used on either side. Everyone needs to do their own research and decide based on factual clinical trials and behavior of the virus.

My question is… Why aren’t those people that get the vaccine “shot up their nose” getting sick? How many of their immediate family members get sick with influenza street they are vaccinated? I would think if your scenario holds true, the amount of “shed” virus in their own home would have to be monstrous!
